School & COMMUNITY Safety & HARMONY Summit: To’Hajiillee – May 29th, 2026 (Route 66 Casino)
The Navajo Nation Department of Diné Education (DODE) is proud to announce the upcoming School & COMMUNITY Safety & HARMONY Summit, a series of school safety trainings in Farmington, and Gallup, and concluding with the School & COMMUNITY safety & HARMONY Summit in To’Hajiillee.
The May 29th Summit represents a critical effort rooted in the Navajo Nation’s deep commitment to ensuring that schools, families, children, youth, and communities feel supported, informed, connected to resources, and empowered in promoting harmony, wellbeing, and school safety across Navajo Nation communities.
The summit will provide opportunities for community members, educators, school leaders, elected officials, behavioral health professionals, youth advocates, first responders, and partner organizations to engage in meaningful dialogue, share resources, strengthen partnerships, and collectively advance culturally grounded approaches to community wellness and safety.
“The safety, wellbeing, and harmony of our students, families, schools, and communities must remain a shared responsibility and collective priority. These School Safety Trainings and Community Harmony Summit are designed to create culturally grounded spaces for education, collaboration, healing, and prevention—bringing together educators, families, behavioral health leaders, first responders, and community partners to strengthen our support systems for Navajo Nation youth. We are especially looking forward to concluding this important series with the School & Community Safety and Harmony Summit in To’Hajillee on May 29th, where we will continue uplifting community voices, sharing resources, and building stronger pathways toward safe, healthy, and thriving communities for future generations.” ~ Dr. Clark, Navajo Nation Department of Diné Education
The New Mexico Alliance of Health Councils has been selected as a key partner to support community engagement, public relations, event curation, and facilitation efforts for the summits. The Alliance is deeply honored to partner with the Navajo Nation Department of Diné Education in service of Navajo Nation’s children, families, schools, and communities.
