Ginny Adame works for the Village of Los Lunas/Valencia County DWI Program as the DWI Coordinator. In her capacity as the DWI Coordinator, Ms. Adame provides: general program oversight, coordination, planning, and evaluation and budgetary management and oversight of the Local DWI Program. In addition to the general duties required of a DWI Coordinator, Ms. Adame focuses on evidence based substance abuse prevention; practices, policy, programing and activities within the community. Ms. Adame assists in the coordination, planning, budgetary oversight and operations of the Underage Drinking Taskforce which is inclusive of all (5) of the local law enforcement agencies, with the addition of Los Lunas School’s School Resource Officers, Juvenile Probation, and the New Mexico State Police. Ms. Adame also serves as: the Chair for the Community Wellness Council and is passionate about the 100% Community Initiative and Health Equity. Prior to working for the Village of Los Lunas, Ginny has worked in Victim Advocacy, Crisis Counseling, Violence Prevention Education, Violence Prevention curriculum development, Community Crisis Intervention, and the Criminal Justice System. Ginny also has an extensive background in, and passion for, community collaboration. Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland European Division (2003) Certifications: New Mexico Certified Public Official (2017), Senior Certified Prevention Specialist (2010) New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist (2008) through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium and the New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals.
