12:30-2:30pm Task Force on Health Council legislation (see information below)
12:30 - 5:30pm NMPHA pre-conference sessions - Health Equity for Rural and Frontier Communities. (The sessions are free, but you'll need to register for them on the NMPHA website; information to follow.)

Hotel: We have a special rate for a block of hotel rooms at the Hyatt Regency on April 2. Please reserve your hotel room by March 12. Call (505) 842-1234 and let them know that you will be attending the NM Alliance of Health Councils Annual Meeting.
Travel: For health council members who are traveling from at least 50 miles outside of Albuquerque, we will reimburse hotel and travel costs up to $175 for one person from each health council. It may be possible to reimburse additional travel costs if funding is available.
In addition to our Annual Meeting, we are in the process of forming a task force to look at ways to update the legislation which originally formed the health councils in 1991 under the Maternal Child and Health Act. This year a memorial was passed (SM 44) initiating this process. If you would like to participate in this task force, please contact:
